Dr. Brittany Pate
Dr. Pate is native to Jacksonville, FL and has wanted to be a “pet doctor” since the age of two. With many years traveling with the Navy as a child, attending veterinary mission trips, and relocating during her academic journey, she has enjoyed living in many different locations.
She attended University of Florida where she obtained her B.S. in Animal science in 2015. From there she spent two years on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts, attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing classroom and laboratory veterinary coursework. Back in the US, she then attended Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, rotating through approximately twenty specialties in clinical year, strengthening her knowledge and broadening her professional experience.
After graduation in the fall of 2018, she headed slightly north to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. She has many fond memories learning to ski and snowboard with her family on Sugar Mountain, near Boone, NC each year over Christmas break for more than 15 years.
After about three and a half years of practicing small animal medicine at a local animal hospital, it was time for yet another change. She loaded up her pup and pony, and headed west to finally call Murfreesboro, TN home. She is thrilled to live and work near both a lively city and the peaceful retreat of the Great Smokey Mountains.
She spends her free time hiking and camping with her German shepherd, Zeus, and riding her horse, Reva. She finds fulfillment in loving and serving the families and pets that entrust their care to Brogli, Lane, Weaver & Alexander Animal Hospital.
