Veterinarians at Brogli Lane Weaver Alexander Animal Hospital

Dr. James W. Brogli
Dr. James W. Brogli was born and raised in Murfreesboro. Most of this time was spent at Brogli, Lane, Weaver, Alexander Hospital. He attended Mitchell Nelson, Central, and Oakland High. He started working with his father in high school beginning with "official employment" in 1983. While at Oakland High he played soccer. After high school he attended Auburn University receiving a B.S. in Animal Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. While attending Auburn, he received recognition for Proficiency in Large Animal Medicine and also received the Surgical Proficiency Award in small animal surgery. After graduating, he worked in Charleston, South Carolina in an equine specialty practice for one year before returning to Murfreesboro. He and his wife Kim have three dogs and they both share in a love of animals.
Dr. Miles Lane
Dr. Miles Lane is a Rutherford County native. He attended Murfreesboro City and Rutherford County schools. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture and received his DVM degree in 1980. He is married to the former Betty Bennett and they have three children. Dr. Lane is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club. His interests include spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors and sports activities.
Dr. David Weaver
Dr. David Weaver was born in Harriman, Tennessee. He was an air force brat for the first 10 years of his life traveling the world with his air force family of three sisters and one brother. He attended Mitchell Neilson Elementary, Central Middle, and graduated from Oakland High in 1981. He attended and graduated from MTSU in 1985 with a B.S. in Animal Science. He graduated from UTCVM in 1989 with a degree in veterinary medicine. His wife, Susan, graduated from MTSU nursing school in 1985. She is currently a RN and Risk Management Coordinator at MTMC. He has two children. Nicholas is 18 and is a freshman at MTSU. Noah is 15 and is a freshman at Sigel High. Dr. Weaver enjoys the outdoors. He likes biking, hiking, camping, and coaching youth sports. He is also a youth minister at St. Rose Catholic Church.
Dr. Brian Alexander
Dr. Brian Alexander is a Rutherford County native. He has lived in Murfreesboro all but the four years that he was attending veterinary school in Knoxville. He always had pets to enjoy throughout his youth. By establishing these strong animal bonds he made it a quest to always do what was in his power to aid them. He lived most of his young life in the Big Springs community in southeast Rutherford County. His family owns a small farm and raise beef cattle. Doing this peeked his curiosity early in life. He started his education at Buchanan Elementary and then moved up to Riverdale High. After graduating in 1997 from high school, he started MTSU with a major in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. This is when he started working at Brogli, Lane, Weaver, Alexander Animal Hospital. He accepted early admission into vet school at the University of Tennessee, CVM. After graduating with honors in 2004, he then returned to his home town.
