- Dr. James W. Brogli
- Dr James W. Brogli was born and raised in Murfreesboro. Most of his childhood was spent at Brogli, Lane, Weaver & Alexander Animal Hospital. Dr. Brogli attended Mitchell-Neilson Elementary, Central Middle and Oakland High School here in the 'Boro. He started working for his father, the late Dr. James D. Brogli, as an "official" employee in 1983 while still in high school. After graduating from Oakland High, Dr. Brogli went to his father's Alma Matter Auburn University. He received recognition for Proficiency in Large Animal Medicine and also the Surgical Proficiency Award in small animal surgery. He graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. After graduation he worked in Charleston, SC in an equine practice for one year before returning to his roots at Brogli, Lane, Weaver & Alexander Animal Hospital. He and his wife Kim live here in Murfreesboro and have twin sons, Braden & Brycen, as well as two Welsh Corgi's (Nell & Dede) and a Weimeraner (Baron).
- Dr. Miles Lane
- Dr Miles Lane was also born and raised in Rutherford County. He attended both Murfreesboro City and Rutherford County Schools growing up here. Dr Lane is an Alumni of the University of Tennessee. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1980. Dr Lane is married to the former Betty Bennett and they have three children, Jim Ed, Beth & Rebecca. They are members and attend United Trinity Methodist Church and the Murfreesboro Rotary Breakfast Club. They have a cat named Sampson.
- Dr. David Weaver
- Dr. David Weaver was born in Harriman, Tennessee. He was an air force brat for the first 10 years of his life. He travelled the world with his parents, three sisters and one brother. Growing up, he attended Mitchell Neilson Elementary, Central Middle, and graduated from Oakland High in 1981. He graduated from MTSU in 1985 with a B.S. in Animal Science. From MTSU, he went to vet school at UT and graduated in 1989 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. His wife, Susan, graduated from MTSU nursing school in 1985. She is currently a RN and Risk Management Coordinator at MTMC. They have two wonderful sons. Nicholas is attending MTSU and Noah is at Sigel High. Dr. Weaver thoroughly enjoys the outdoors. He likes biking, hiking, camping, and coaching youth sports. He is also a youth minister at St. Rose Catholic Church. The family have two dogs that are usually at BLWA, which you will get to know. Tess and Daisy are part of our up front staff team!
- Dr. Brian Alexander
- Dr. Brian Alexander is a Rutherford County native. He has lived in Murfreesboro all of his life, except the four years that he was attending veterinary school at UT in Knoxville. He always had pets while growing up, to enjoy throughout his youth. By establishing these strong animal bonds, he made it a quest to always do what was in his power to aid them. He lived most of his young life in the Big Springs community in southeast Rutherford County. His family owns a small farm where they raise beef cattle. Living that childhood peeked his curiosity early in life. He started his education at Buchanan Elementary and then moved up to Riverdale High, where he graduated in 1997. He started MTSU with a major in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. He started working at Brogli, Lane, Weaver, Alexander Animal Hospital, as a veterinary technician, while obtaining his Pre-Vet degree. He was accepted into vet school at UT with early admission. Dr Alexander graduated with honors in 2004. He then returned to his home town and soon started back at BLWA, this time as a doctor. Dr. Alexander is married to Dr. Kathy Alexander. They reside in the Murfreesboro area where they live with their 3 dogs and 2 cats.
