Digital imaging allows our Veterinarians to view your pet’s x-rays more quickly and more clearly, and ultimately provide the best possible care for your pet. X-rays are a non-invasive way to detect bone fractures, bladder stones, tumors and a way to locate swallowed foreign objects such as toys or rocks. Taking X-rays of your pet is a completely painless procedure and can be done without sedation if your pet is cooperative. In some cases the Doctor will recommend sedation if the pet is nervous or stressed and has trouble relaxing for the procedure. Sometimes you will need to drop your pet off for the procedure if sedation will be required. Your Doctor will discuss these options with you before the procedure takes place.
